Ferals #15

Ferals #15

There are comics that we read because we “always have” or because its the latest buzz item from our favorite reviewers.  And then there are comics that are just too good to miss.   David Lapham’s Ferals is one book that from the start has been superb.  It takes the strength of Lapham’s crime noir background and combines it with a visceral world and interesting characters to create something wholly original.
Ferals #15 reveals more of the mad Doctor Cherry’s true goals and how far he is willing to go to achieve them.  To him…Feral people aren’t “people” at all…but animals to do what he pleases with.  But if there is one thing we’ve learned from seeing Dale Chesnutt’s struggles as a newly Feral man, it’s that no one controls a she-wolf.  And the good doctor is about to find that out up close and personal.
If you are a fan of strong comic book storytelling – you have to be reading this book.  Pick up the first trade collection and it will hook you with one of the best horror stories being told today.

Ferals #13

A brand new arc begins this week in Ferals #13!  The lazy drunken Dale Chesnutt is gone.  He’s become a feral beast bent on ripping the lungs out of the man that took his woman.  David Lapham continues to deliver consistently powerful tales that have redefined werewolf mythology into a slick modern survival horror story.  If you haven’t tried Ferals yet, this is the time to do so.  CBR called it “a fun romp and guilty pleasure series at the top of its class” and  FEARnet said The comic is gleefully adult, relishing sprays of blood and the occasional nipple. It has a sense of abandon that sweeps the reader with it. You feel caught in this million-mile-an-hour story…”
Ferals is a book that you can’t go wrong with.  If you want a series that is clever, violent, sexy, and flat out incredibly illustrated, Ferals will deliver all that and more.
